Museum on P-day

We went to a museum today on P-day. It was pretty cool and I took a lot of pictures. Enjoy. Oh, we also had Subway! Yeah!

Word Clarification

“Fast Sunday” is typically the first Sunday of each month. We fast from food and drink for 24 hours, basically two meals, (usually breakfast and lunch) and donate the cost of the meals to help local families or individuals. At home in Nebraska it’s possible to shorten the 24 hours and hit the refrigerator a little early. At the Missionary Training Center they are fed via a cafeteria with a schedule. So… you can’t eat unless the café is open… Which it isn’t until dinner.

“MTC” is Missionary Training Center.

“Branch” is a small congregation.

“Branch Presidency” are the leaders of the congregation.

A “District” is a small group of missionaries. Usually 3 to 6 companionships, 6 to 12 missionaries.

A “Zone” is a group of districts.

- In Argentina the missionaries are organized into companionships that are assigned to work in a specific geographic area. Adjacent companionships (areas) will be grouped into districts, and adjacent districts will be grouped into a zone.

o Similar to towns, counties, states, etc…
